Understand what your processing statement says.

Statement Forensics separates card-network costs, processor pricing, and charges that need follow-up. Results depend on the statement detail and the evidence available for the specific comparison.

What the review can show

Statement totals and supported categories are reconciled where the printed detail allows. The report distinguishes confirmed arithmetic, bounded or unknown costs, negotiable terms, and questions for your processor. A question or range is not a confirmed overcharge or a promised saving.

Hosted application

After sign-in, statement and Schedule A files are processed in your browser. The hosted service handles account access and supplies the authorized rate pack; it does not receive those document contents from the browser workflow.

Audit service

You may instead email statements to the operator for a done-for-you audit. That service receives the documents to conduct the review; the browser-local statement-processing description does not apply to emailed audits. Contact audit@statementforensics.com for the existing handling terms.

What the rate references mean

Visa and Mastercard comparisons use dated April 2026 schedules only where the statement period, transaction details, and supported mapping allow. The authorized pack ID 2026-10jz is a release artifact name, not an October 2026 network schedule. Discover is confirm-only against a state-republished Appendix G reference; unmatched lines remain named and unpriced. American Express amounts are reported as billed. OptBlue pricing comparisons are shown only when the required source evidence has been accepted.

Dates outside the supported comparison window do not authorize an above-published finding. Processor markup is negotiable price, not automatically an overcharge. Assessment and access-fee differences remain questions when the underlying source is not established.
